根據華盛頓郵報和美國廣播公司(ABC)快訊報導，民主黨總統候選人希拉蕊(Hillary Clinton)競選總幹事波德斯達(John Podesta)8日晚上呼籲守候在紐約競選總部外的支持群眾回家休息，他說，希拉蕊「還沒有結束」。「你們應該睡一覺。我們明天會有更多訊息。」

根據美國紐約時報網站的最新預測，共和黨候選人川普(Donald Trump)8日在美國總統大選幾乎一路領先，已拿下關鍵州賓州。選舉人票來到264票，再6票就達到當選門檻270張選舉人票。

CNN所公佈的最新預測，川普則已取得247張選舉人票，希拉蕊215張。

只要有候選人率先在全美538張選舉人票中拿下過半270張，即可成為白宮新主人。
